During my trip to London, I took some shots from the viewing balcony at Tate Modern. I've been to the Tate several times but I'd never been to the top before. I'm kicking myself for all those missed opportunities. One of those shots was edited into a gritty landscape using Photoshop.

This is the starting point, a nice view of the muddy Thames and some cranes. Look! The BT Tower!

Taken with a Fujifilm X-T20 with an 18 mm to 55 mm lens

Saturation is set to -100

Adjustments are made to exposure and contrast as required

Clarity is set to between 50 – 60

The sky is darkened by using the graduated filter

A new graduation level was opened

Adjustment brush, was selected, with Feather set to 100

Et voila! A nice gritty landscape.

The Thames still looks grubby, doesn't it?

Here's another one. I like alley ways. I feel like things happen in alley ways.
